Ingredients:
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts
- 2 tablespoons crushed garlic
- 1 tablespoon Perfeito All-Purpose Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon coconut aminos*
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
*Coconut aminos is a dark-colored sauce similar to soy sauce. Made from the sap of the coconut plant, it is fermented to create its savory flavor.
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
- Trim off and discard the bottom ends and any wilted or discolored leaves.
- Slice each Brussels sprout in half lengthwise.
2. Season the Brussels Sprouts
- Sprinkle the halved Brussels sprouts with Perfeito.
3. Cook the Garlic and Oil
- Heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add crushed garlic and sauté until it turns lightly golden.
4. Sauté the Brussels Sprouts
- Add the seasoned Brussels sprouts to the skillet.
- Toss them in the garlic oil, cooking until tender and slightly browned (about 5–7 minutes).
5. Add Coconut Aminos
- Drizzle the coconut aminos over the Brussels sprouts in the last minute of cooking. Toss to combine, then serve hot.
Optional Tofu Addition
If you'd like to add tofu for extra protein:
- Cut tofu into thick slices.
- Heat coconut oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
- Cook tofu slices for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Serve alongside the Brussels sprouts.
